To support emerging women and youth entrepreneurs in the community, SJI is conducting a month long training program on traditional art – Pottery for ten local youth and women. This is expected to enhance the employment opportunities in the community and to revive and promote our traditional art.

The training is being conducted by Mr. Sonam Tobgay, a 22 year old youth from Gangzur under Lhuentse Dzongkhag. Mr. Sonam Tobgay has taken up pottery after completing his high school in 2015.

The project is funded by European Union (EU) through HELVETAS-Bhutan to support Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Bhutan.
