SJI in partnership with Deer Park, India and Chokyi Gyatso Institute (CGI) is organizing a workshop on universal human values (UHV) for over 25 monks from February 6-9, 2017 at CGI. It is being facilitated by Mr. Ankit Pogula, Director of Tuning Folk Film, India and Mr. Kala Tshering, faculty of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College, Dewathang, who are practitioners of UHV.
As part of institutional development effort, in December 2016, SJI also supported CGI in conducting the first ever “Leadership & Management” training for its senior monks. As an outcome of the workshop, a work plan has been developed for implementation.
CGI is a model waste reducer, a champion of organic tshog (feast) (actually revival of tradition) offering that has propelled a national drive towards zero waste offering.
